Description: Description About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Process and Performance for New Energy Solutions (NES), this project support coordinator role will provide project and financial support to the NES team and associated stakeholders. The role will help define and report project performance measures as well as support project owners with standard project requirements and needs (such as issuing funding project numbers, creating shopping carts and purchase orders, administering invoice payments, coordinating monthly accruals, etc.). Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide financial and performance reporting support on project spend and operational costs. Draft functional budget and performance trends. Coordinate with procurement department to create SAP shopping carts as requested by NES project managers Be a central point of accountability for coordinating and processing invoices in a timely manner Report activities associated with project actuals, budgets, and forecasts for internal NES management and external departments; Prepare incremental cost deferral journal entries to provide to Accounting Department; Research various financial / accounting topics to ensure proper adherence; Create / Track all Funding Projects and Work Orders in Power Plan system as requested by NES project managers; Provide NES Finance Business Partners with financial reporting information as requested; Track, consolidate, and coordinate accruals and re-accruals for all NES projects on a monthly basis. Prepare detailed schedules to track financial and project progress related information; Communicate ideas for improving financial and project management processes within New Energy Solutions (NES) Provide ad-hoc reporting to support requests for Jurisdictional and Cadence Review Meetings.
Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities Required:
A Bachelor's degree and up to 2 years of related experience OR in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience. Previous experience with budgeting, forecasting, KPI's, and business performance analysis Project management experience preferred Handle multiple tasks and determine priorities in an ever changing environment. Work independently as well as in a team based environment.

Quickly grasp complex issues and effectively integrate, compile, and analyze complex information and data.

Problem solve by providing timely and accurate interpretation of analysis. Background in utility service business activities preferred Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; MS Project and SAP preferred Excellent written / oral communication skills, follow-up, and negotiation skills This position is one of National Grid’s career path roles which provide for promotional opportunities within and across salary bands as you develop and evolve in the position by gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
