East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) is a repair business located on P&W’s East Hartford campus. The business specializes in rotating parts, major cases, stators, combustors, honeycomb seals and fan blades and serves Pratt & Whitney and a variety of global customers. EHRO is divided into two businesses, Connecticut Rotating Parts (CTRP) and Connecticut Stators & Components (CTSC). Connecticut Rotating Parts (CTRP) specializes in rotating parts and major cases.

CTRP has an opening for an Engineering Manager. As the CTRP Engineering Manager, the incumbent will report directly to the CTRP Deputy General Manager and have leadership responsibilities for a staff consisting of Manufacturing, Surface Treat and Weld Engineers. The successful candidate will play a key role in the tactical and strategic direction of the engineering department. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading all areas of engineering, processes, work instructions, quality requirements, materials selection, and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical support and being the technical interface with customers/suppliers for present and future engineering requirements.
  • Helping to develop and enforce standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across all products.
  • Managing projects and leading Continuous Improvement (ACE) business progress, lean manufacturing, project management, quality improvement efforts.
  • Providing exemplary professional representation to P&W and other OEM’s, to the FAA and to other regulatory agencies.
  • Developing manufacturing engineers in key technology and skill sets which are essential for the group success.
  • Managing a team of engineers supporting the recruitment, development and retention of engineering talent.
  • Managing the resources and assignments across the manufacturing cells.
