The Engineering Enabled Aftermarket (EEA) group under the Global Services Engineering (GSE) organization at Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced individual who is a self-starter and enjoys working across multiple facets of the business. This selected candidate will co-lead a “big data” project with Engine Services Analytics that collaborates with the P&W network maintenance shops, GSE, CIPTs, Engine Services, and CTS, to create an approach and focused system that will collect hardware condition data opportunistically in service. This data will be used by engineering and business analytics teams to forecast needed repairs, identify sales order option configurations for specific regions of the world, help P&W improve spare part forecasting, and reduce cost of maintenance in support of P&W Engine Services contracts with our commercial customers. The selected candidate will represent the EEA group as the primary focal point to our internal value-stream customers. Periodic presentations to these customers will be required.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years’ experience in mechanical design engineering
  • Demonstrated experience working in Cross Functional Team environment with developing and managing complex engineering projects is required.
  • Has knowledge of the inspection processes.
  • Ability to assemble and deliver effective presentations is required.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are required.
Education B.S. in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
