Work from computer-generated, written or verbal instructions to apply a variety of advanced coatings to production,

overhaul and development turbine engine parts. Adhere to engineering and MCL standards to refine processes on new

or changed parts and coating equipment.

Work from trouble reports, schematics and service manuals which may provide little technical information required to

service, repair and overhaul various coating equipment which includes instruments, related system components,

controllers and interacting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Determine testing methods needed to resolve or isolate problems. Select suitable test equipment to check valves at

various points, and other characteristics and parameters, to determine cause of trouble where little or no technical data

is available to describe how or why the system or component malfunctioned.

Calibrate instruments and systems, make adjustments and correct other parameters to return the device or system to

proper operating condition.

Develop startup, operation , monitoring and servicing procedures to ensure process and equipment integrity, adherence

to requirements and safe operating practices.

Work on special assignments with supervisors, engineers, vendors and other trade groups and customers to review

proposals for new coating equipment. Determine service requirements and develop systems applications requirements

and installation and repair methods.

Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions (such as

operator’s checklist for upkeep) to assure equipment operates properly.

Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor.

May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support

of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.

May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.
