The only real constant is‘Change. The Gas Business Enablement (GBE) team is at the forefront of that changefor National Grid. This role affords a hugely exciting opportunity for someonewith strong communication and engagement skills to lead the engagement and communicationefforts in this regard and be part of a journey to truly transform the US gasbusiness. A major long-terminvestment, GBE’s goal is to improve customer satisfaction, and enhance compliance,rate case strategy and overall performance, enabling employees to provide thebest service they can. This project is a significant undertaking as westandardize and simplify our operational processes and upgrade the technicalsystems they run on in what is a rapidly changing external environment. We are looking for theright professional to join an enthusiastic team of Change professionals, who’sfocus is to support National Grid to move through the GBE change, supportcontinuous improvement efforts, build buy in and commitment to that changewhilst at the same time developing an enduring longer term capability, as wecontinue to move forward in an ever changing environment. The successful candidatewill have had previous experience of engagement and communications within largechange programs, be able to bring some exciting ideas and opportunities to thetable and proactively drive the thinking of both the Change Management Office(CMO) team, for which this role will be a part of and that of the wider companylevel business readiness change effort.
Key Accountabilities: · Leading & managing the businessengagement & messaging strategy with all critical stakeholder of theprogram internal and external · Working with and building relations withall appropriate stakeholders and key leads in various programs to ensureengagement strategy is consistent across all channels. · Developing and creating communications onbehalf of the Program in line with Stakeholder strategy and business engagementapproach · Managing events from key messaging tologistics to ensure the right output is achieved · Supporting the adoption of changeprocesses through establishing strategic plans and communications throughoutProgram lifecycle. · Lead the strategy,planning, execution and ongoing optimization for digital media channels. · Developing metrics and evaluating thelevel of change adoption associated with communication and engagement strategiesdeployed. · Managing a small team of Change Analyst,in support of the execution of the wider change effort · Creating internal control guidelines forthe effective execution of engagement strategies · Aligning with Corporate Communications to ensurerelevant standards and consistency applied across National Grid · Looking for innovative solutions to createbuy in and commitment to the change, constantly pushing the boundaries ofpossibilities and options in support of driving change commitment and buy inacross the business
Qualifications Capability Requirements: · Expert communications professional able toprovide expert advice and guidance on how best to engage with GBE stakeholdersin a meaningful way · Proven experience in stakeholderengagement and different social engagement strategies · Experience in facilitating face to faceevents and online forums. · Have a creative approach to developing andplanning tailored campaigns that involve and engage a variety of stakeholders · A flair for building relationships andconfidence to influence at a senior level, both inside and outside of the organization. · Advanced knowledge of and experience with socialmedia reporting and managing a social media strategy · Experience of analyzing complex data, andthe ability to translate information to deliver clear briefings and otherwritten material. · Self-motivated, able to work well withothers, and on own initiative, to successfully drive a wide range of engagementactivities working with colleagues across the organization. · Experience in working with a large,complex organisation, and working in partnership with a number of organizations/stakeholdercommunications. · Very strong organizational skills, abilityto meet deadlines and proven experience of managing risks and issues in orderto mitigate potential obstacles · Solid understanding & knowledge ofeffectively managing organizational change · Results driven yet self-aware with strong team collaboration skills · Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint,Excel · Working knowledge of MSProject an asset · Working knowledge of the principles andpractices of effective Project Management · Excellent eye for designand experience with graphic design tools · Create engaging contentoptimized for various social platforms and targeted audiences. Knowledge& Experience Requirements: · Understanding of the NaturalGas Utility business · Minimum of 5 yearsleading change, engagement efforts within a significant size company · Minimum of 2 years in a leadershiprole · 3+ year of experience inProject Management, Certification a plus · Bachelor’s Degreepreferred, in; Communications, Engagement, Organizational development, Training& Development, Human Resources, Leadership or other related area · Experience of designingand implementing stakeholder engagement strategies · Experience in leadingengagement change efforts · Hands on experience withweb analytics tools (Google Analytics), social listening tools, and WordPress · Passion for and solidknowledge of Digital & Social Media Thisposition has a career path which provides for promotional opportunities withinand across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gainingexperience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
