Full time, tenure-track faculty position within the Mechanical Engineering Department

Review of candidates will begin November 1 and continue until the position is filled

Scope:
The appointment may be made at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level commensurate with qualifications and experience

Principal Responsibilities:
Teaching of introductory, college-wide courses as well as upper-level mechanical engineering courses is expected. Expectations include advising students as well as actively pursuing scholarly research and professional development opportunities

Required Skills:
The applicant must be committed to teaching excellence in undergraduate education and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Applicants from any specialty area will be considered

Minimum Qualifications:
ABD in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Education (with a prior degree in mechanical engineering), or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Education (with a prior degree in mechanical engineering), or a related field is preferred, with all degree requirements completed before the date of employment
Industry experience, teaching experience, and professional licensure will be viewed favorably
