We're hiring an Associate Electrical Engineer! This candidate will p
rovide electronics and embedded design solutions as part of a product development team. Use of circuit modeling and layout tools to deliver production capable electrical design that meets product requirements including a wide range of environmental conditions and worldwide standards for explosion endangered environments. Work effectively with outside suppliers as well as across internal functions (sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing) to achieve product development deliverables and provide sustaining technical support.
Additional responsibilities include:

Support project planning by providing accurate estimates of effort and resources required to successfully implement electronic designs
technical capabilities and problem solving skills to implement electronic designs that meet or exceed all customer, marketing, and regulatory requirements.
Generate design schematics using schematic capture application
Perform computer assisted design (CAD) modeling & simulation of proposed electrical designs
Manage printed circuit board layout applications and artifacts
Perform technical evaluations of competitive products
Solid understanding of marketing requirements, regulatory standards, and customer use cases
Identify design alternatives, trade-offs, and areas of risk
Collaborate with other engineers and functional resources to provide total system solutions that are modular, and cost effective
Root cause analysis on field issues or returned goods
Integration with software and embedded firmware
Mechanical–Electrical interfaces
Validation & verification test (sample preparation and test support)
Production Manufacturing support
Support technical input for presentations to senior management
Generate supporting documentation over the entire development lifecycle including:
Design Specifications
Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Test Reports
Design Reviews
Status reviews and customer presentations
Develop test instrumentation as needed to support production manufacturing test requirements.
Follow new trends and technology in order to evaluate where it can be used in new designs
Provide technical consultation throughout the company within areas of expertise
Perform other duties as assigned


Qualification:

Preferred experience:

  • Embedded system design

  • Circuit simulation (PSpice)

  • Printed circuit layout experience

  • Microprocessor and digital circuit design

  • Analog design


Education:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with demonstrated electives focused on microcontroller design

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Problem solving acumen

  • Experience working on a research project or internship focused on designing electrical circuits/ working with Raspberry pi
