Enterprise Capacity & Materials Planning Strategy (ECMPS) is a rapidly growing organization established to assess demand and output capacity of the entire P&W operations and supply chain network. Our objectives are to develop accurate and predictable capacity tools at the enterprise level to balance customer demand and capacity. Manage associated risks to drive actions to enhance efficiencies, improve processes, and increase our speed of execution.

Major functions of the ECMPS organization are Demand Management, Business Analytics and Decision Support, Enterprise Capacity, Sales Inventory & Operations Planning, and Master Scheduling. This position reports to the Senior Director of Enterprise Capacity and will focus specifically on balancing demand and capacity across all programs and producers.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly critical area for Pratt & Whitney in which to drive alignment and integration between demand and capacity going forward. It also offers a unique balance between working directly with the P&L programs (IPMTs), operations, global supply chain, partnerships, and aftermarket and support groups.

NOTE: This position is located in Farmington, CT

The successful candidate will be managing teams which include the Enterprise Capacity Managers, as well as a Production Rate Readiness Manager. Both of these teams are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of capacity standard work are executed throughout the entire enterprise of operations: PW Buy, PW Make, Partnerships and Aftermarket.

Key objectives for this position include:

  • Interface with Operations, Global Supply Chain, Partnerships and Aftermarket to orchestrate a risk based approach to align demand with capacity across the enterprise.
  • Innovate, design and deploy digital tools to capture accurate capacity data to identify capacity risks, drive business decisions, and capture action items tied to risks and track closure of capacity improvements.
  • Opportunity to have regular contact with Pratt & Whitney's Operations, Global Supply Chain, partner companies, aftermarket as well as external customers.
  • Support the program's delivery, quality and cost goals, including focused efforts on understanding design changes, manufacturing learning and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Work closely with ECMPS, Operations, Aftermarket and Partnerships team to understand supply constraint points and to communicate risks and develop creative solutions to address situations when demand exceeds capacity.
  • Interact across all functional organizations of P&W; Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Execution to understand and manage risk elements preventing ability for P&W to meet future rate.
  • Providing industrial planning-structure, framework and for sourcing and manufacturing decisions.
  • Effectively communicating, elevating and mitigating risks identified through the capacity process to executive leadership.
  • Develop senior level presentations and participate in key meetings.
  • Leverage industrial engineering, supplier development leads and outsourced resources to increase the capacity of the assessment team.
  • Lead key capacity processes to support EC&MPS, Operations, Programs and Global Supply Chain.
  • Progress standard work of team to ensure efficiency within organization.
