Description: Description About the Position: The role of a Designer/Instructor is to design, develop and deliver training curriculums to support all U.S. SAP Training and other systems and applications as necessary. This includes analysis, training program design & development, implementation, training evaluation, and additional learning support. Innovative learning solutions must be created in a timely manner in order to effectively respond to client learning requests. Toward that end, s/he must focus on bringing high quality learning experiences to all audiences through sound adult learning principles,

lended learning approach, and the appropriate use of technology. The individual will be expected to institute best practices in all designs and delivery in order to maximize client satisfaction. Key Accountabilities:

Design and develop training programs to provide employees with the knowledge, skills and ability necessary to perform their jobs in a safe and efficient manner.

Produce high quality innovative learning programs to clients and internal Instructor staff.

Ensure that designs incorporate learning best practices and achieve learning outcomes and client satisfaction.

Create Learning Briefs, Detailed Course Outlines, and learning content and obtain the necessary client approval.

Develop employee assessments and course evaluations.

Manage multiple design priorities, deadlines and projects efficiently.

Design web-based tools and eLearning solutions for a broad learning audience.

Consult with departmental subject matter experts and utilize process and procedure documentation to validate accuracy of job specific training content.

Develop appropriate instructional methodologies & formats.

Collaborate with internal customer groups seeking training development services to understand needs, deadlines for development and to ensure the projects are innovative, well designed, accurate, and delivered on time.

Ensure drafts, revisions and final designed documents are accurate and error free.

Conduct assessment of training needs associated with the introduction of new system functionality.

Conduct “train the trainer” sessions and other training delivery as required

Foster and deliver high quality learning experience through a blended learning approach using hands on activities to simulate real tasks.

Evaluate and modify existing training programs and manuals to ensure continuous improvement and contractual obligations.

Administer testing, conduct assessments, and deliver feedback.

Act as a technical advisor to BPS and other organizations in areas of technical expertise and/or participate on various committees.

Manage document/content management systems (Training Resource Library [uPerform], SharePoint)

Knowledge and Experience: Focused on creating value for clients Ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks Strong decision making and time management Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening and presentation skills Project management skills Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Focused on execution and results orientation Strong computer and web based skills. Understanding of training and development principles and adult learning theory Working knowledge of personal computers and various business related software.
Qualifications Required: 3+ years of professional experience in all aspects of instructional design and instructing Knowledgeable in the areas of: Adult learning methodology Utilizing a blended learning approach State of the art learning technology and best practices Development of custom eLearning solutions Graphic design Proficient in computer applications (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SAP, Internet Navigation, SharePoint) Proficient in computer-based authoring software (i.e. Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lectora Storyline, and other eLearning applications, uPerform, HRMS and LMS systems) Working knowledge of web-design software and tools (i.e. HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, FrontPage and other authoring technologies) Ability to travel BA or BS in Instructional Technology, Education, Communications, Human Resources or other related discipline is preferred Advanced education is considered a plus.
