Description: Description About the Position: The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering process improvements within our end to end Supply Chain processes and support the overall Performance Excellence Strategy. The key objective of Supply Chain Master Data is that data strategy revolves around ability to manage and maintain the quality & integrity of critical master data entities through it's life cycle. This includes Vendor, Contract and Material Master Data. Provide analytical support service such as gathering and analyzing data and producing reports in order to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision making.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Manage day to day relationship in order to understand requirements, deliver appropriate, solutions and coordinate work with other Analysts and Associates. Administer, analyze, interpret and implement management policies, operating practices and procedures for the functional area. Assist and coordinate work on projects by contributing to developing project standards and processes to improve project delivery. Keep up to date with market developments to ensure the optimization of best practice for National Grid. Develop and maintain analytical systems, models and procedures in order to support design solutions and enhance consistency and efficiency. Challenge existing ways of working and continuous improvement to drive greater efficiency. Hub related activities. To create/improve/implement Master Data policies, procedures and processes. Maintain controls and monitor data to detect data quality issues. Translate business needs to Master Data specific requirements. Proactively identifies/monitor data quality and to take immediate improvement actions. Ensure processes are being followed and documentation/job aids/procedures are current. Implement training and procedures for business and Master Data staff. Proactively provide best practice experiences within the business. Maintain Master Data workflow related tables. Support the business with data analysis. Perform MD maintenance tasks within agreed workflow tasks. Perform data quality checks and to improve the data quality. Provide data quality reports and corresponding root-cause-analysis. Support workflow users and other stakeholders regarding issues with the data or the MD processes/workflows. Develop and maintain effective relationships with the stakeholders in order to share best practice, provide technical advice and build bases of influence.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required : A Bachelor's degree in a related area and up to 2-5 years of analytical or business support experience, or equivalent work experience. Strong analytical skills Proven ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases, often complex in nature. Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verify data, conduct independent analysis and identify inconsistencies. Ability to administer, analyze, interpret, create, initiate, resolve and implement management policies, operating practices and procedures for the functional area. Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively across organization. Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Procure to Pay, specifically SC Master Data knowledge preferred. SAP knowledge preferred. Demonstrates the ability to understand multiple relationships between different sources of data and resourcing processes, identifying several likely causes or consequences of a situation. Demonstrates the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with matters of significant importance. Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are completed.
