Materials Engineer – Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE). Responsible for understanding Engineering requirements for critical flaw sizes, supporting development of appropriate NDE methods (eddy current, ultrasonics, thermal, x-ray, fluorescent penetrant) which includes quantification of performance to meet the inspection requirements. Additional responsibility may include the coordination of out-sourced engineering and product fabrication efforts at qualified suppliers. Building effective relationships with highly skilled technicians and both internal and external customers is also required.
Qualifications

Prefer one to five years experience as an engineer, working in a laboratory or with manufacturing processes or overhaul and repair of aerospace products. NDE, measurement / instrumentation, design and report writing preferred

Education

B.S. minimum in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is preferred. M.S. and Ph.D. graduates are also acceptable. Other engineering degrees will be considered.
