The University of Utah Robotics Center ( is seeking outstanding candidates with research interests and expertise in robotics and related systems, for a tenure-track appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must have an established record of published research, must exhibit strong potential for extramural funding within their area of expertise, and are expected to develop a vigorous research program. Candidates must also be qualified to teach courses in the core curriculum of an undergraduate mechanical engineering program, and to teach existing courses or develop new courses that support the Robotics Track. The Robotics Track is a joint graduate program between the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Computing. Graduate students can pursue M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in the Robotics Track, while undergraduates may elect to pursue an emphasis in Robotics. The Robotics Center is a collaborative environment with shared facilities and equipment, and with active collaborations with the medical school and local industry.
