The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Industrial Engineering. Individuals will also be considered at associate or full professor rank if they possess outstanding qualifications commensurate with the rank.

Successful applicants are required to have an earned PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related field, and are expected to develop and maintain an active, externally-funded research program as well as teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and currently has an undergraduate enrollment of about 770 and a graduate enrollment of about 500. More information about the Department can be found at www.mie.uic.edu
