Description: Description About the Position: Provide analytical and decision-making support within the Work Order Controls team, ensuring the timely and controlled progression of the electric functions’ work order lifecycle. As a Work Order Controls Analyst within Investment Strategy you will provide reporting and advanced analytics that monitor, measure, and manage work orders, plus provide guidance for Management action. At the higher levels this role will develop and implement corrective measures and procedures within Work Order Controls to improve the working of National Grid.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide reporting and analytics needed to effectively communicate electric work order lifecycle and data quality aspects to various stakeholder groups.

Support the cadence of reporting needed to effectively communicate findings and actions required. Report on effectiveness of corrective actions taken by the business.

Support adherence to the controls-based framework related to work orders and overall financial results.

Develop and implement corrective measures that enhance and improve the work order lifecycle timeliness to closeout with high quality of financial results.

Support development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and job aids that provide the foundation of the work order lifecycle controls framework.

Research and analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify how different scenarios may impact upon the business.

Develop expertise and relationships that contribute to the identification and formulation of objectives specific to Work Order Controls in order to drive change and innovation within National Grid.

Maintain a continuous improvement approach. Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or relevant equivalent is desired with 5 years of demonstrated experience.

Experience building relationships working in and leading a team is a plus.

Excellent proficiency in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; Business Intelligence and/or Business Objects.

Primavera, PowerPlan, and SAP experience is a plus.
