Description: Description About the Position : National Grid is looking for a Marketing Analyst who would be responsible for project and day to day activities in support of our core digital channels including Web & Mobile sites. The Analyst will work with strategic internal & external partners and teams across the organization to clearly articulate and document issues and opportunities. They will assist with scoping, prioritizing and compiling requirements for the development of new projects. Additionally, they will assist in the development of detailed applications, page designs, flowcharts, use cases, and procedures. Project delivery may also include the creation and maintenance of site documentation. Responsibilities will include utilizing digital analytics tools, identifying trends, reviewing website logs/reports for opportunities and resolving web operations issues as they arise. The Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining Web & Mobile Applications through a Content Management System (CMS), provide subject matter expertise / insights to support decision making, and deliver best-in-class solutions which improve the customer experience, increase customer satisfaction, and drive business results.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and digitally share information that will benefit National Grid Facilitate change and innovation at National Grid through collaboration with business partners on the development of customer-related strategies Partner with lines of business to ensure adherence to National Grid’s Digital Strategies, guidelines and best practices. Analyze key themes from a wide range of internal and external data sources, including economic / financial market movements or customer systems technology developments, in order to identify how different scenarios may impact the business and customer. Utilize digital analytical tools to identify potential issues, map user experiences and recommend business opportunities for improvement Execute instructions and requests, plan and organize resources, and make appropriate arrangements to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and follows relevant policies and processes. Support/ Lead Marketing and Customer Satisfaction organizations in developing data and insights to better serve customers & track results Prepare and write necessary documentation to keep all stakeholders informed as well as all customers and any appropriate internal/external partners. Measure, track, and report on operation metrics to ensure results Manage, coordinate, and track bug fixes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and upload and manipulate content and images using National Grid’s Digital Branding and Writing guidelines for a consistent look, feel and tone. Continue to grow personal contribution to the business.by further developing professional skills in area of expertise and pursue new specializations Perform code deployment and release management for multiple complex web environments Perform log and exception-based reviews for system issues and security concerns Keep up to date with market / technology developments and external trends in order to ensure the implementation of best practices at National Grid. Produce high level and detailed customer communication and marketing plans to support senior management in defining customer and market growth strategy / energy procurement methods / customer systems and technology, depending on area of specialization Work closely with other sub-functions in Customer, implementing sales / product / system training and providing support within area of expertise in order to enhance the organization’s overall skills and knowledge. Support senior management in defining strategies that enhance National Grid’s position with customers through market research, feasibility studies, and the creation of high level business models within own area of expertise Provide in-depth knowledge in the analysis and interpretation of data in order to recommend actions that support the business in meeting its objectives such as promoting customer and market growth opportunities and mitigating risks.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Digital Communications, Information Technology, Marketing or related discipline or and 3+ years of related experience Knowledge of relevant industry practice and UX principles Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), content management systems, and data analytics tools Understanding of project management techniques and methods. Possess a proven track record of creative problem solving and a commitment to outstanding customer service Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices a plus Capability Requirements: Analytical Thinking: Sees multiple relationships between different sources of data, identifying several likely causes or consequences of a situation Conceptual Thinking: Sees patterns or trends in data or situations, notices when something is similar to a past situation Impact and Influence: Uses direct persuasion to influence others, using basic data, logic or a solid business case Customer Orientation: Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and undefensively and communicates customer expectations to monitor delivery and satisfaction Attention to Detail: Monitors quality of others work, checks to ensure procedures are followed This position is one of National Grid’s career path roles which provide for promotional opportunities within and across salary bands as you develop and evolve in the position by gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
