Description: Description About the Position: The Senior Analyst, Distribution Revenue, supports the Manager, Distribution Revenue, through the generation of necessary reports and data maintenance. He/she will perform general month end closing duties and reconciliations to ensure distribution revenue streams are properly accounted for. The Senior Analyst, Distribution Revenue, supports key stakeholders and other departments within U.S. Finance by responding to information requests and supplying required reports.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Review, validate, and reconcile balance sheet items and deposits from sub-ledger to the SAP general ledger. Reconcile unbilled account balances and accruals to the SAP general ledger. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for accounts receivable/payable. Prepare/review manual journal entries for all adjustments and reconciliations. Generate estimated electric, gas, and other revenue reports. Reconcile manual journal entries for misdirected payments within sub-ledger to the general ledger. Prepare/review manual journal entries where applicable. Provide data and reports in support of SOX, FERC, audit, and other external regulatory or reporting requirements. Generate and validate special ledger reports and run batch jobs. Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including volume reconciliation, risk management, sales revenue, and operating revenue. Assist with the monthly review and validation of all entries in the accounting records to ensure proper accounting of revenues from operating companies. Analyze monthly closeout reports to ensure proper accounting and identify discrepancies. Able to facilitate operational responsibilities in the absence of the Manager, Distribution Revenue.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. 5 - 7 years experience in general or utility accounting. Able to initiate corrective measures in support of directives received from supervisors. Ability to the think critically and apply innovative approaches to existing procedures. Ability to process large volumes of data with a high level of accuracy and reconciles errors. Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. Knowledge of general ledger platforms, with a strong preference for SAP experience. Experience with data management and account reconciliations spanning multiple business units.
