Description: Description The analyst in Complex Project Management group will be reporting directly to the Director of Complex Project Management. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, analyzing data and providing up-to-date information to support decision making to the leadership team. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly reporting packages Review the group’s financial and operational results with the managers and director. Track and process vendor invoices Monitor and track Project Delegation of Authority Generate recommendations in order to enable decision making and improve business performance in the medium and longer term for Operational decision. Independently collate and analyze work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas in order to support the department's decision making process. Leverage knowledge of finance, Utility industry and National Grid to assist with analysis Assist with business planning, budget analysis and forecasting in order to optimize business performance in line with set objectives. Perform and/or manage various ad-hoc analyses and reporting as necessary, including but not limited to researching general ledger activity, provide safety performance, operational reporting and process invoicing. Support the operational needs during emergency events. Able to work independently in order to support the department’s decision making process. Provide guidance to department on accounting and financial implication as request.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting • Minimum 3 years of related finance/accounting/Operations work experience • Advance degree or certification preferred • Strong communication and presentation skills especially to high-level leadership • Good understanding of accounting for utility business • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics
• Initiative and ownership over self-directed tasks • Proficient in reporting software and systems with recent SAP experience a plus • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, and PowerPlant is a plus but not required.
